These Times
What are you focusing on in these times? Are you looking for ways to build on the new ground being created by COVID-19? Or are you waiting for a return to the way things used to be?
We already experienced a tectonic shift in 2008. We saw the stock market dive, credit markets shrivel, college funds vanish, property values dwindle, jobs vanish never to return. The pandemic will have even more radical implications. We all feel out of control.
But here's what we can control: How we react. How we adapt. Whether we're willing to reach and risk.
We're all on the journey of rethinking our perceptions and our relationship to our work. We can keep looking back, longing for what we had and tripping over the new opportunities in front of us. Or we can turn our eyes to the journey forward in a new economic reality.
"Do not say, ‘Why were the old days better than these?’
For it is not wise to ask such questions.”
Ecclesiastes 7:10
